Well it’s been a busy couple of weeks.
After care preparation and quest completions, Glow and Shig faction transfered and joined Frostwolves on Saurfang hordeside. The usual worries about what would go wrong with the transfer, most of which never happened.
I took screenshots of my bank:
And my void storage…. Just in case:
And only one item disappeared on the transfer, the Essence of the Firelord from the Thunderaan quest. Oh well, I expected it may go.
The only other slightly annoying part of the transfer is that I had to start the Jade Forest quests again to get the portal opened to Org, that’s fine. But the moment I started the “be friends with the Hozen” questline, I lost 84 000 rep with them – as it had transferred my Jinyu rep to Hozen rep as exalted, and that was fine until the quests actually needed them to hate me.
But now that I’m settling into the horde, things are looking up. I’ve been lucky enough to make it into the guild weekly flex and normal runs for their non-raiders. And was asked to whisper the raid leader what bosses I needed for what loot. Woops! This is something I would know, if I was raiding properly, but I actually had no idea. So after the raid I set to fixing that with some casual tools: Wowhead, Icy Veins, Mr Robot and beer.
I don’t actually follow Mr robot’s advice to the letter. I know what I feel comfortable with spirit wise, so I tend to tweak that. I just set the best haste cap for my current gearing and then gem/reforge to jump over that by a bit. I certainly don’t regem and re-reforge every item to squeeze of the haste cap by 0.01% every time I get a new piece of gear. But Mr Robot and Icy veins combined can give useful advice about stat weights and BiS-available gear – that I had been using, but not to document a proper list.
Which of course necessitates home made snacks and some good beer. Life is grand.
The other thing I have been working on is my UI. It’s almost where I want it now:
… which means I really should update my UI page. Maybe tomorrow
